Welcome to the first installment of the StayClassyAtlanta Shop Tour Series.

First on our list of amazing shops to explore is Injected Engineering, located in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Injected Engineering is a late model performance shop with the ability to work on nearly any modern performance vehicle. As soon as you walk into the shop it’s apparent that Injected Engineering wants you to feel comfortable. A comfy and inviting couch is against the wall directly inside the door. Featured magazine articles are hung on the walls showing off the caliber of their work. The custom table with their logo is adorned with mints and candy inside a lower pulley and a supercharger intake plenum. Little touches like this remind you that you’re dealing with some serious car guys here.

Once you walk past the lobby and the well stocked selection of T-Shirts and other apparel the door opens into the shop. Honestly, we couldn’t get over how clean and orgainzed this performance shop is. If you walk towards the rear of the shop you can see the in-ground Dynojet with the computer and display sitting neatly next to it on a rolling desk. Walk around and you’ll see an assortment of well stocked tool boxes, four rotary lifts, and an endless supply of performance parts ready to go on the cars that come in.

For more information on Injected Engineering and to see more of their awesome work we encourage you to go to their website.

I have meant to leave some feedback for the injected crew but got busy with other stuff.

If anyone opens this post and is considering teaming up with Injected...don't hesitate. Do it.

I have dealt with a few tuners in my day. When it comes to tuning a ride there are bound to be issues, tweaks, etc as you jump up the performance curve. When you are doing the work yourself you can work them out on your own nickle and time frame but when things don't go just right when you are dealing with a tuning shop this is when most folks tend to pucker up. You just never know how the tuner is going to react when you take your ride back to them with a "issue". To me this is where you separate the average shop from the top tier crews.

I found out real quick that Aric and the rest of the crew at Injected are all professional, willing to listen and do not treat their customers as if they were idiots. Most of the guys into tuning their ride have some background in mechanics and have done some or all of their own upgrades as in my case. It's the tuning where I needed some professional help.

Yes I did have a issue with the tune but injected went the extra mile (well several hundred miles...) and got to the root cause of the issue and made things right. Never did they give me a hard time..."I want it right" is all I heard from the crew.

Today I am riding in a 550 HP 06 black GT getting ready for this season looking at a low 11 second ride.

Thanks again Aric, Ryan and the rest of the Injected crew.

all cleaned up...

I was going to post the video but it looks like they have been removed from ebay. I believe they were posted by DRI and a Ford dealer. It made 508 rwhp and 464 rwtq the way it sits coming off the truck. Here is some info from Roush:

The 2010 ROUSH® Stage 3™ Mustang once again takes its rightful place atop the hierarchy of Jack Roush's lineup. This vehicle packs a punch with 540hp and 510 lb-ft and is fully-loaded with the ROUSH® body components; resonator exhaust; four-piston front brakes with 14-inch rotors and painted rear calipers with slotted rotors; and the new upper billet grille which removes the fog lamps and streamlines the appearance of the new Mustang while improving cooling performance. Interior enhancements include ROUSH® leather seats with an embroidered Jack Roush signature; four-piece performance pedals; ROUSH® illuminated sill plates; short throw shifter with black or white ball; and a new interior Stage 3™ badge with the car's serial number engraved.

The 2010 ROUSH® Stage 3™ Mustang rides on 18-inch chrome wheels with high-performance Cooper RS3 tires; 20-inch chrome wheels with Cooper RS3 tires are one of the few options available on this model. The suspension package includes ROUSH® front struts, rear shocks, front and rear springs, front and rear stabilizer bars and jounce bumpers.

"The ROUSH® Stage 3™ Mustang has traditionally been among the halo vehicles of our lineup and I'm really proud that it sits atop the pecking order once again," said Jack Roush. "This new iteration of the Stage 3™ represents our highest horsepower and most sophisticated ROUSH® Mustang yet, and is sure to resonate among our fans."

The 2010 ROUSH® Stage 3™ Mustang will have a limited production run of only 103 vehicles.

This vehicle uses the same engine that debuted in the 2009 ROUSH® P-51B™ Mustang. In order to get this type of power from the Ford 4.6L, 3-valve engine, ROUSH technicians replace many of the internal components with stronger parts including forged aluminum pistons (with an increased dish to lower the compression ratio from 9.8 to 8.6), forged steel H-Beam connecting rods and a forged steel crankshaft. The fuel rails are changed, as are the fuel injectors and an upgraded fuel pump. ROUSH® also upgrades the clutch and includes a custom-calibration for the ECM to manage the performance of the next-generation R2300 ROUSHcharger®.

As is standard with all new ROUSH® Mustangs, this car will come with the anti-wheel hop kit installed during the assembly process. This part (No. 401788) is an outstanding addition to any 2005-2010 Ford Mustang GT.

The 2010 ROUSH® Stage 3™ Mustang is covered by a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty and will be available with a manual transmission only.

I was looking on the Speed TV website and noticed the first episode of the show taped at Atlanta Dragway is coming up tonight at 930. I was in one of the shows in my SRT10 Ram and some of the other Injected cars were in the Proline episode. I dont know if all the shows will play in the order they were taped or how it will work. So I am just gonna keep on the look out for the next few weeks on Wed and 9 and 930 for the shows. Hope the guys at Injected (Aric and Miller) still watch.

Aric,

Hope you and the business are doing well. I have a question about stopping corrosion on my negative battery terminal. When you guys did all that work on my 01 Cobra, you sprayed something red on my terminal and it never corroded again. I was just wondering if you could tell me what that stuff was because I've having the same issue again with my 04 Cobra.

Thanks man,

We have been working on a CNC Billet upgrade for the inlet on a Whipple 3.4 Cobra for the last few weeks. Below you will see pictures of the prototype (which is still undergoing revisions ie. moving the inlet closer to the supercharger and changing its angle). The kit will include: Billet CNC Inlet, Twin 75mm Throttle body, Cold air intake and more. This will be a production kit and will be available for purchase in the next few weeks (price to be determined). Enjoy!
