What do mean getting out of second gear?

I thought everyone knew about my little "faux-pas" at SSHS(whatever) with Cougie a couple of years ago. I was so darn nervous driving Scott's pride and joy, I rolled past the start line and staged the rear wheels. Then after backing up and re-staging, I put the shifter into the manual 2nd gear position, instead of Drive, and did the whole run in second. It was a classic... I am reminded of it often ....

It'll be ready, you just need a set of tires for that thang. When I was test driving it, I would be rolling 45-50mph... then wood-it...it hangs the ass-end out smokin'em till I let out of it..at one time I logged wheel speed at 138mph and the front speed sensors were at 80 something.Tongue

What's she gonna be like with the 2.8" pulley?? Rolleyes

Hey, what're you doin' beatin' on my car and wearin' out the tires like that? Those Dunlops were bought the day before I drove the car up to SSHS 3, four years ago, they have like 1200 miles on them... They worked fine when I brought them up there.. you and Scott must have done something make 'em so slippery.

Scott's warned me twice, now about "the beast."

I dunno what I'm gonna do for street tires. We get so much unexpected rain here in Florida (just about every day), I'm not sure that Drag Radials are a good choice for "daily" driving. Ryan is supposedly looking into what size MT DRs I can put on the stock 15" rims for the track. My Hoosier QTPs have been sitting around Scott's garage dry rotting for 4 years, so I don't think I'll be using them in Commerce.

On the street, I guess I'll just have to learn how to drive sideways...

Cool

lol Todd Smile We seem to line up every year anyway. Come get some... Just remember though, the Mark has a huge appetite now, and might think big yeller is a banana split and take a bite out of your azz lol Smile

Mike, Did you do a Mustang hub conversion on GB? Reason I ask - I have a set of MT ET Streets DR's mounted on my stock Mark rims you can use if you like, since I should be converted over to the Mustang hubs by SSHS7. I believe mn12 and fn10's use the same goofy hubs. At least they would be better than street tires...

Nope, I still have the goofy MN12 bolt pattern. I had the Ronal street wheels made for that pattern, and I've got too much money tied up in the rims to swap the hubs now. What size are the MTs you've got on the Mark wheels?

The temptation is great for me to put the Mustang hubs on, so I can have more rim and tire choices. I could get a pair of skinnies for the front. I could also roll the fenders and put some 10" or 12" slicks on the rear for hookup. As tempting as that is, I would rather the rear tires smoke than the IRS or half shafts explode on launch. She is a street car, after all.

That is my fear too with the half shafts. The DR's are P255/50R16. I was able to get a 1.8 60' with them. Mostly 1.9's though due to the track conditions not being that good at Atl Dragway.

The DR's are on the Mark now, and when Aric installs the new hubs, brakes, and rims on the car, I can leave them there if it is ok with him, and you are more than welcome to use them if you like for SSHS7.

You want some cheese with that whine?? Eusa_boohoo

I don't think Linky is in need of DRs quite yet, but if it'll make you happy, I'll leave them behind after SSHS7 ... You may need them "someday."

Besides,
Cougie gets first shot at GB's leftovers as it is ...

Yep Scott, Offer still stands Smile That's if Aric leaves any rubber on them for you lol. Eclipsee_steering

I have the 4 - Potenza RE750's, 2 - MT ET Streets DR's, all mounted on 6 - Lincoln OctaStar rims. Did you want the rims and tires, or just the tires? DR's too?

I also have the 90mm C&L MAF, intake tube, and C&L cone filter. Aric got like four ponys more with it over the stock 80mm. And , I think I have a stock air box with K&N panel filter too if you want them.

I keep the Cobra intake and new HID's though... Mr-t lol mr t... I pity the fool that tries to take them HID's from me Smile
